About Me

My photo
The Lord never ceases to amaze and bless me (and my family). Though there have been many unexpected, seemingly overwhelming events in my life, God always provides a way, meeting and exceeding any need I may have. I long to know God more each day, to become the Godly woman, wife, and mother he so passionately desires me to be. This requires extensive training from God. For this reason, I am a perpetual student of the Lord. He is constantly molding and training me as His child; a wife, friend, coworker, daughter, sister, and mother; to be more like Him. In a similar way, along with my amazing husband, I hope to be a Godly example for our children and raise them in such a way that sparks an urgent desire for them to know and long for a personal relationship with the Lord our God.

In my weakness...

I need prayer. I need patience. I need God, always.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NLT)

Each time He said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong [through Christ].
For almost 10 years now, I have known that I have Fibromyalgia. It has been tough, but for the most part, manageable.

Over the past year, my Fibromyalgia has been worse and the treatments have been increasingly ineffective. A couple weeks ago at my doctor's office, my doctor decided to run some tests to see if there is something else going on.

There is.

I have been diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, aka MCTD. I had never heard of it and I didn't really know what to make of it. After reading the information the nurse provided me, and doing some research, I've discovered that this is a pretty mean disease, with a poor prognosis. It has no known cause, no known cure, it's painful, it's progressive and it's destructive.

On the other hand, MCTD is a name and in Jesus' name it MUST bow down!!

Philippians 2:9-11 (NLT)

Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
I need prayer warriors to join with me. This disease may be "incurable" to doctors in the natural world, but I know that the Great Physician, Jehovah Rapha, Our Lord is the God of the Super Natural.

I know that everything takes place for the glory of our God.

Genesis 50:19-21 (MSG)

19-21 Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid. Do I act for God? Don’t you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now—life for many people. Easy now, you have nothing to fear; I’ll take care of you and your children.” He reassured them, speaking with them heart-to-heart.
Keith and I are believing that we will grow old together, I will be there for my children AND someday grandchildren, and this is a perfect opportunity for us to watch Christ Jesus work in our lives! His plan is perfect and I will find peace in that, whatever His plan is!

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NLT)

16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

  1. I love you so much sis and wish I could take this all away from you. But we are praying along with you and I'm looking forward to seeing what God does with this. I know it will all work for His glory. You've got an amazing story in the making so just keep telling it and allowing yourself to be His humble servant. Hugs!!!!!
